Dental photos in diagnostics

We take dental diagnostic X-rays and photographs for clinical records in our dental clinical application. First, dental diagnostic X-ray photographs consists of some different radiographies, such as intraoral radiography, panoramic radiography etc. And these are chosen for appropriate clinical purposes. On the other hand, photographs for clinical records are also constituted of different photographs as regular facial photographs, intraoral photographs, photographs of dental prosthetic works etc.

Dental photography has been developed enormously and it enabled effective and practical use for clinical application. It is very important when we evaluate aesthetics and function in dentistry. The key to dental aesthetic perfection is effective communication. Dental photography plays an essential role in dentist-patient communication, providing the basis for patients expectations for treatment.

Visual communication is essential for patient acceptance of aesthetic treatment, dental treatment planning, and successful case completion. Visual documentation is mandatory for optimal laboratory communication and obtaining consistent aesthetic results. Photographic self-analysis is also the key to personal improvement and the growth of ones aesthetic abilities. You cannot practice today’s aesthetic dentistry without mastering visual communication skills.

Photos taken

Dental photographs includes external facial views as well as intra-oral views. Dental pictures are typically taken of the teeth and/ or oral environment to illustrate dental disease, malformations, soft tissue, the development of the oral cavity as well as other aspects of mandibular and maxillofacial formations.

Dental pictures are currently used by our dental care team for monitoring dental treatment plans and patient teaching.
